October 24th – recently The special Fisheries & Aquaculture
Infrastructure Development Fund ( FIDF ) with a fund size of Rs. 7,522 crore has been approved by the Govt. of India.
For infrastructural development in fisheries sector.
To be remember related to FIDF:
Government of India sanctioned Rs. 7522.48 crores of fund for FIDF.
Our country is currently producing 1.2 million tonnes of fish annually.
The main aim of FIDF to achieve the target of 20 million tonnes of fish annually by 2022-23.
October 21st – according to the new guidelines of the Centre’s procurement plan for agriculture commodities under Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay SanraksHan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA) an individual farmer will now be able to sell up to 25 quintals of produce per day, and get relief from all taxes
About PM-AASHA:
PM-AASHA is an Umbrella Scheme which includes the mechanism of ensuring remunerative prices to the farmers and is comprised of three schemes.
1. Price Support Scheme (PSS)
2. Price Deficiency Payment Scheme (PDPS)
3. Pilot of Private Procurement & Stockist Scheme (PPPS)
October 26th- The ministry of women and child development
organised the fifth edition of the Women of India National Organic Festival at Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA)
This is The 10-day long organic festival, which will be held from October 26 till November 4.
